About the Recipe

Fermented foods add good bacteria to our gut which is important for optimum health. This is an easy and delicious way to add a fermented food such as kefir into your diet. I would only use a small amount of kefir to start until your children are used to the slightly sour taste.


  • 300ml combination of kefir and natural or Greek yogurt

  • 2tbsp honey

  • 150g strawberries – fresh or frozen

  • 1 banana


Step 1

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick then dilute it with whole milk. Add more honey to taste if the kefir is very sour.
